Due to the ongoing hot weather, we have made some changes to the schedule for this week’s group events to help keep everyone comfortable and safe.

Love To Move is cancelled - Back in September

𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁

10.00am – Friendship Friday group begins

11.30am – Dementia-Friendly Singalong starts

12.30pm – Group finishes

Unfortunately, lunch will not be provided during this session; however, we will have plenty of tea, coffee, water and squash, along with our usual selection of biscuits!

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you all next Friday for a lovely morning together, while making sure everyone stays safe during the warmest part of the day.

Buscot Picnic

We had an amazing afternoon at Buscot, enjoying a picnic in the sunshine with good food, fresh air and great company. It was a chance to relax, chat and spend time together in beautiful surroundings.

A big thank you to one of our attendees’ daughter at Cotswold Boat Hire - Shirley and her team - for kindly inviting us and making the afternoon possible. Your generosity was greatly appreciated by everyone.

We would also like to thank Lechlade & District Lions Club and Highworth & District Lions Club for the use of their minibuses, which enabled so many of our members and volunteers to come along and enjoy the day.

It was a great afternoon spent together, one that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to announce that Mayor Julie Murphy has raised an amazing £8,512.15 for Highworth Forget-Me-Not, having chosen us as her Charity of the Year for the second year running.

This incredible total is thanks to Julie’s dedication, the hard work of her team, and the generosity of everyone who supported the many fundraising events throughout the year.

Every pound raised will help us continue providing invaluable support for people living with dementia and their carers through our Memory Café, Friendship Fridays, Love to Move sessions, Dementia-Friendly Sing-alongs and other activities that help reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

A heartfelt thank you to Julie, her team, and everyone who donated, volunteered or took part. Your kindness and support will make a real difference to so many local families. 💙

What a wonderful afternoon we enjoyed at our Memory Café on Wednesday 22nd July!

It was lovely to see so many people coming together to enjoy an afternoon of music, friendship and fun. A big thank you to Tony M for providing the entertainment and getting everyone singing, dancing and reminiscing.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

🌞 Important Update for Next Week’s Friendship Friday & Dementia-Friendly Singalong 🌞

Due to the warm weather, we’ve made a small change to next week’s schedule to help keep everyone safe and comfortable.

🕙 10.00am: Friendship Friday begins
🎵 11.30am: Dementia-Friendly Singalong
🕧 12.30pm: Group finishes

Please note that lunch will not be provided this week, but there will be plenty of tea, coffee, water, squash and biscuits for everyone to enjoy.

Our Wednesday Café on 22nd July is still going ahead as planned unless you hear otherwise.

We can’t believe we’re having to do this again so soon, but with temperatures forecast to exceed 30°C this week, we’ve made the difficult decision to 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲.⁣⁣

The health and wellbeing of our attendees, volunteers and staff is always our priority, and we are following NHS and Alzheimer’s UK advice to help keep everyone safe during the hot weather.⁣⁣

We’ll have fans on, plenty of cold drinks available, and a cool, welcoming space for everyone.⁣⁣
