Our story

It all started in week 2 of the COVID-19 pandemic lock down. Having spent the first few days tidying up wardrobes and drawers we soon realised that we had nowhere to donate those anymore. We kept the bag of clothes for another couple of weeks and decided to drop it in the clothing bins near supermarkets. We drove past 2 overflowing ones with bags left on the floor.

Being passionate about giving back in as many ways as possible and wanting to make Coronavirus 2020 a year where difference is made rather than a year that broke people and humanity. Clothing Bank Wirral was founded to help all those vulnerable people out there to make sure they have clothes for themselves and their children now and when the lock down eases further. With all the charity shops closed and who knows how long for as the volunteers are normally over 60 and many shielding. We have since been inundated with donations and working through referrals.

If you are able to volunteer in any way please contact us or if you know anyone who is in need of support please refer them to us. We have a strict confidential approach and able to do door step delivery of clothes within the Wirral.
