From Selena, so the rescue doesn't get blamed!
let's get this completely straight.... I know my page is being watched closely so here we are..... we were asked as a rescue to take this dog in even with the accusations of her bite history and yes we agreed to do so to give the little dog a good chance in life going forward.
I'm sick to death of the abuse being sent and posted about us being heartless and not caring.
We do care alot about the future of this dog and that is why it will not be disclosed where she is. many messages have come into us about the life this dog had before her deceased owner had her and she was loved beyond measure.
This dog deserves the best life again and the best way to secure her future is to go through a rescue.
with us she will be speyed, vaccinated and the home found that suits her needs the most. We don't believe that going back to her old grounds will help her in any way, if anything it will hold her back with constant reminders of a life lost that she loved.
contracts are always in place and we work closely with all adopters and fosterers to ensure their dog is happy and we are in contact for the whole of that dogs life.
just to add as another comment about money was made ...All our staff are volunteers, none of us 'make money' from these dogs in fact quite the opposite. I as have the others used their own money in emergencies to ensure the dog gets the care needed immediately.
Alot of our dogs need expensive vet care on admission.. Marmalade, needs both top canines removed, not cheap.
Meg, both ear canals removed, not cheap.
Rolo retained testicle,
Brea, constant end of life vet care
need I go on???
Rather than try to ruin a good rescue how about seeing if you can help, or if you have a space for a dog then offer that space to help???
sick of the vitriol right now.
we are humans we do our best and tbh I'm getting to the point I just wanna pack up and rescue goldfish. we can't though because we have so many dogs past and future
If you would like to apply to adopt her or another dog in our care then please fill in the relevant forms, and yes there is an adoption fee which partially covers their spey and vaccinations and any other care they need before rehoming.

Added for those involved to see and decide the consequences for this poor dog.

we have had a few people all saying they own her, I am honestly doing what I think is in the dogs best interests, once she is fully settled I am also happy to update everyone as she recovers from her trauma of losing her mum. It's not our decision where the dog goes whilst she is in police custody.
We get asked if we can help and I do my damndest to do so for the sake of the dog and no one else. I can still walk away from her if that's what everyone would prefer and then I and no one else has control of her future other than the police and the dlo.
The team do not deserve this nor does the rescue deserve this or the other rescue with a similar name to us!!
If anyone wants to try seriously to get her back then they will need to seek legal advice from a solicitor and start proceedings with the police as they're the legal owners right now.
Please let me know because if we don't save her then another dog can be saved in her name πŸ˜”

How happy is our Lady Marmalade looking now!!
now she has decompressed and settled into her foster home, she is doing so so well! Her confidence is growing and she's showing a very playful and loving side to her and getting used to cats.
Marmalade will be looking for her forever home once her vet work is all done, she will need a quiet home possibly with another dog to play with.
she has shown a penchant for squirrels and running furry things, so adopter will need experience of dogs with a prey drive. she has proved to be very very trainable so this can be worked with.
Older children only for this girl as we don't have a proper history on her.
adoption fee, Contracts and homecheck will apply
