Burnham & Highbridge Repair Cafè is teaming up with 1st Huntspill & Highbridge Scout Group for a one‑off Saturday Repair Café Special, and it’s going to be brilliant.

📍 𝗛&𝗛 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝘁, 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱, 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝗧𝗔𝟵 𝟯𝗝𝗘

Bring along your gadgets, lamps, jewellery bits, small household items, if it’s broken, we’ll try to save it.
And this time, we’ve got the Scouts involved too… which means extra hands, extra energy, and extra enthusiasm.

Our volunteers will be repairing, teaching, and showing the Scouts the joy of giving things a second life, a proper community skill‑sharing morning.

It’s a chance to support the Scouts, save money, save waste, and be part of something that makes Highbridge feel like Highbridge. ♻️⚜️

As part of their Skills camp this weekend 7 of our Scouts along with 3 Young Leaders and our Leadership Team completed a litter pick along a section of the Estuary Wall from the Huntspill Sluice. They collected 13 bags of rubbish including part of a car air intake and a bedside table! This will go towards the Environmental project section of their World Badge.

Winter Olympics - Cubs Style!!
Human Curling - wheelie boards mops & brushes!
Cross Country Skiing- slide on pieces of carpet, soft axe throw (instead of shooting)
Team Bobsleigh relay - wheelie boards
Our cubs with Brue pack had so much fun, and great teamwork achieved.

This week our cubs (Axe and Brue packs) took over “The World”! - well explored the breathtaking Gaia exhibition at Bridgwater Townhall
We made the journey via train which added to the excitement.

1st Huntspill & Highbridge Scouts are enjoying a Survival Skills based Camp this weekend learning how to cook their food over open fire, Tracking, Wildlife Walk along estuary wall and ending the evening with wide games, S’mores and a magical camp fire 🔥

1st Huntspill & Highbridge Scouts were out again today this time helping man water stations and run car parking for the Burnham on Sea half marathon. Luckily managed to miss the rain showers!
