With V.E. Day being celebrated on 8th May let us remember those who were still fighting for freedom in the Far East, and the many millions who gave their lives fighting against tyranny from 1939 - 1945.

Some of you may have noted the new development off John Clarke Way/A6 bypass. The streets and closes are being named after soldiers off the WW1 memorial and our local Suffragette. The first is Draper Road, the main arterial route through the estate. Attached is a picture of Ernest Draper after who it was named. He died on 27th Sept 1915 and lived at 19 Kimbolton Rd Higham Ferrers, he is one of seven Drapers serving their country at this time.
