We were at the Duchy Barn Gardens this week for Gateway. We got the paints and brushes out to create some artwork. We got inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and gardens. All the flowers were blooming marvellous, so it was very easy to be inspired. I'm sure you'll agree that everyone did a fantastic job.

Next week, we'll be starting the 1st evening of our 'Life Behind the Lens' project, where our members will be the star of the show - see you next week at HOPE.

Mayor of Higham Ferrers enjoys a busy start to civic year

On Saturday, we had a Gateway coffee morning at the HOPE Methodist Church. Everyone pulled together to provide some lovely baked goods and goodies for the tombola. We also served tea, coffee and bacon baps. All the money raised went to Gateway and we raised a total of £272. A massive thank you to the local community.

Also, another big thank you to the Hope Methodist Church in Higham Ferrers and to Rushen Asda for their donations of rolls and prizes.

This week at Gateway, we played BIG prize Bingo. We played 4 games and the lucky winner got to walk away with loads of great prizes. It was very exciting evening, congratulations to the winners.

Come and join us on Saturday morning. There's the famous bacon baps, drinks, cakes, tombola and lots more.
All money raised will go towards all the great activities we all enjoy at Gateway.

So, great news post.....

Last week we all really enjoyed entering the Planted Wheelbarrow Competition. Painting and planting the barrows was good fun.
Guess what our wheelbarrows came 1st and 3rd. Everyone was so thrilled when the result was announced on Wednesday.

This week at Gateway we played a game called 'WhatsApp my Picture'. We split in to 4 teams and was given 6 famous pictures to recreate. Each team had to be creative, think outside of the box and have every member of the team in the picture. They then sent the pictures over on WhatsApp so we could all get together at the end to see each others work. It was a very fun night and everyone did very well.
