This exciting two-year project will bring together music, culture, and innovation, exploring the powerful connections between African drumming, Garifuna traditions, and Caribbean steelpans.

Blending heritage with AI and creative learning, this project will be all about celebrating the evolution of rhythm and inspiring the next generation.

A huge step forward in honouring cultural legacy and driving creative opportunity, we look forward to delivering this project.

What a momentous occasion! Yesterday, our Chairman Chris Roberts attended a reception at the High Commission in London to mark the appointment of His Excellency JM Brereton Horne as the new High Commissioner for St Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Kingdom. The reception followed an audience with His Majesty King Charles III.

We extend our warmest congratulations to His Excellency Horne and look forward to working alongside him as we continue to serve and celebrate our community here in the UK.

🌍 Happy Commonwealth Day 2026

Today we celebrate Commonwealth Day, a moment to recognise the unity, diversity, and shared values that connect people across the 56 nations of the Commonwealth. The day highlights cooperation, cultural exchange, and opportunities for communities to work together towards a more prosperous future.

We're proud to celebrate and promote the rich heritage of African and Caribbean communities, creating spaces where culture, creativity, and community thrive. Through arts, music, heritage projects, and youth engagement, we continue to strengthen connections across generations and backgrounds.

Commonwealth Day reminds us that our diversity is our strength, and that by working together we can build understanding, opportunity, and a sense of belonging for all.

✨ Let’s celebrate our cultures, our communities, and the power of coming together.

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending a powerful and inspiring event at Southwark Cathedral in London for Racial Justice Sunday.

Racial Justice Sunday 2026 was observed on 8th February, bringing together churches and communities across Britain and Ireland to reflect on racial justice, celebrate diversity, and reaffirm the commitment to tackling racism. Established in 1995 following the tragic murder of Stephen Lawrence, this important day continues to encourage reflection, education and action. This year’s theme, “Love Your Neighbour,” reminded us of the power of unity, compassion and community.

The day was filled with thought-provoking keynote speakers, meaningful breakout discussions, and engaging exhibitions celebrating Black heritage and history.

Events like this reinforce the importance of continuing conversations, sharing stories, and working together to build a more inclusive and equitable future for all. ✊🏾✨

Congratulations to the newly elected Prime Minister of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Hon. Dr. Godwin Friday, and the New Democratic Party on their victory in the General Elections of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

We look forward to working with the new government as they commence this new chapter of leadership to bring unity, and continued progress for all Vincentians at home and in the diaspora.

We also wish to thank the Hon. Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and the Unity Labour Party for their contributions to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the past 24 years.

“The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and the destination.” - John H. Schaar

It was a pleasure to host students last week where we visited:

Marlow All Saints Church to see the painting and grave of George Alexander Gratton, also known as the “Spotted Boy,” of Indigenous heritage from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

St. Paul’s Cathedral, London to explore the digital trail War and Resistance in the Caribbean.

St. Paul’s Cathedral partnered with SV2G members of Caribbean heritage from High Wycombe to co‑research and co‑curate monuments at the Cathedral related to the French Revolutionary Wars in the Caribbean.

Emma Reynolds, an MP in Wycombe, said:

“I was excited to hear about how local arts and heritage group SV2G (St Vincent and the Grenadines 2nd Generation) have collaborated with St Paul’s Cathedral on an exciting and informative project. Their trail explores the history of the British Empire in the Caribbean through its monuments and memorials. During Buckinghamshire History Month, I would like to encourage people to learn more about our shared history whilst supporting one of our local community groups.”

The project adopted a community‑centred approach to exploring the history and legacy of British imperialism in the Windward Islands, engaging in a rigorous process of collaborative research, interpretation, and curation.

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed in times of war and conflict.
