After the Beavers went home on Saturday the cubs and scouts enjoyed a shaded walk before ensuring lots of sun cream and hats for the rest of the day and Sunday as the fun at camp continued, all be it a little slower in the heat! A huge thank you to our group volunteers who all worked so hard to make the weekend happen, and those who volunteered to join us, Helen and Matt. A special thank you to Steve for all the work he did before camp, the amazing cooking and the work he continues to do this week unpacking and putting everything away! A final thank you to our young people who tried new things and kept going despite the heat!

The Beavers had a great time at group camp but the cubs and scouts are still going strong for another night.

Our Scout leader Steve Walthall was proud to attend the National Scout Thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey last Friday along with his son and grandson (both members of our group). Steve was pleased to meet the Chief Scout Dwayne Fields as well as the opportunity to catch up with other leaders from the North West including from his old Scout Group in Manchester.
