Did you know that the L&CPU are running a new print award, with the first assessment day being Sunday 15th November 2026. Online application is open now. To apply, log into the L&CPU portal and click on 'Registrations' and then on 'Photographic Award Application'. Fill in the form and youre on the way to being one of the first photographers in the region to achieve the award.

A display of photographs by Morecambe Camera Club has brought a splash of colour to the dark days of winter.
The exhibition of more than 50 pictures at Heysham Library covers epic landscapes, dramatic city scenes, coastal views, wildlife, portraits and abstract images.
An evening preview was enjoyed by the Friends of Heysham Library who expressed surprise at the wide range of subjects covered.
The exhibition runs to February 14.
The club meets most Thursday evenings at the library on Heysham Road from October to March to hold competitions, workshops and talks. In summer, members meet up out and about on shoots and review the results once a month at the library.

As one of the proud sponsors of this year’s Morecambe Maritime Festival, we’re thrilled to support the fantastic community events happening across town — including the brilliant photography exhibition “This Is Morecambe” on Saturday 16th August 2025 at Morecambe Winter Gardens.

Organised by the festival team and supported by Lancaster Photographic Society, this special exhibition invites residents of Morecambe and Heysham to showcase their personal view of the town — whether it’s a sunset on the prom, a bustling market, or a quiet hidden gem.

🖼️ All printed photographs are welcome (any size, any camera — even phones!) and there’s no limit on how many you can enter. Just bring your prints to the Winter Gardens from Tuesday 11th to Thursday 14th August, between 12pm–3pm.
