🎉 HEXHAM SUMMER BINGO IS HERE! 🎉 Looking for free things to do with the kids this summer? Indy Hexham has made a bingo card! 🧩

You can buy a pack (with sticky stars included) from the box office at the Queen's Hall starting this Saturday (August 1st). They're open 10am-noon and 1pm-4pm Monday to Saturday and for an hour before peformances.

You'll find 25 fun, FREE activities around Hexham such as dodging the Devil's Stone 👀 finding beardy faces on Back St 🧔‍♀️ spotting a barbarian with no clothes on or drawing the Moot Hall ✏️

Update!

We are looking forward to welcoming you into Chrysalis on August the 13th from 10am for the launch of Alison’s book: Lewy Body Dementia-A Practical Guide.
This will not be limited to discussions on Dementia with Lewy Bodies alone, so feel free to pop in as we will also have:

-Pathways to Blossom, treating us to some Brain Gymnastics
-A Dementia Research Nurse, giving us an update on research taking place in our region
-Some insight from a carer of someone who is living with Lewy Body Dementia
And the chance to get your questions answered.

Pottery fish with Melanie Hopwood Ceramics. This is stage one, then Mel will take them and fire them, returning them for us to paint in a couple of weeks. She'll then apply a glaze and pop them back in the kiln. Can't wait to see the finished products!

A fantastic afternoon at Tyne Green - with the fabulous bikes and dedicated volunteers from Cycling Without Age - everyone had huge smiles, and great fun was had by all ❤️ The sun came out for us - and the cool shade inside Cafe Enna was very welcome in between rides 🌞

Save the date!
Alison has recently retired and is enjoying connecting with people living with dementia as a new volunteer at Chrysalis.

Previously she was involved at the Biomedical Research Centre (part of Newcastle University) where she worked with people with lived experience to improve the design and delivery of dementia research.

We are so pleased she has joined us, and we are excited to host the launch of her new book-see attached details.

What a lovely coffee-time treat we had yesterday! The Eight, an a ca****la group, put on a super performance for us, with a variety of songs including some old favorites and even a beautiful hymn. We can't wait to have them back. 🎵🎵
