❤️ Defibrillators in Hertford Town Centre

They’re easy to walk past without noticing…
But these small yellow boxes could one day help save a life.

Hertford has a number of public access defibrillators located at familiar places around our town centre — ready to be used by anyone if needed.

Good to know:
If someone collapses and isn’t breathing normally, call 999.

The operator can direct you to the nearest defibrillator and talk you through exactly what to do. The machines are designed for the public — you don’t need medical training.

Hertford is a town that looks out for each other… and these quiet little boxes scattered around the centre are a reminder of that ❤️

A great meeting on Monday 12th when we were delighted to welcome 2 special guests - our old friend Neil Kirby from Brookmans Park Rotary Club as well as Rotary Global Scholar Yvonne Maduka.

Yvonne is pictured with Amwell Club President Andrew.

Studying for an Mph in Public Health at The University of Hertfordshire, Yvonne gave us an excellent talk on why she chose that path.

Huge thanks to everyone who braved the cold to come along to our Carol Service at Haileybury last night. The Chapel was packed and it was lovely as well to see so many of you afterwards for the wine and mince pies.

On behalf of the Rotary Clubs of Amwell, Hertford, Hertford Shires, Hoddesdon and Ware, we would like to extend a warm invitation to join us for our annual Carol Service to be held in the magnificent surroundings of the Chapel at Haileybury College on Monday, December 15th

No charge for entry but, If you wish, join us afterwards in the Attlee Room for mince pies & wine at £10.00 per head

We would ask that people are seated by 7:45 pm for an 8:00 pm start.

As well as welcoming the Mayor of Hertford to our meeting last night, we were also delighted to welcome Matthew and James Craker as our guests.

On behalf of Amwell Rotary Club, President Andrew presented them with a posthumous Paul Harris Fellowship award in memory of their late father Graham, a much valued and respected member of Amwell Rotary, who sadly passed away earlier this year.

His service to Rotary, and to the community, truly was "Service above Self."
