for an invite to one of our meetings!

Amwell Rotary Club is part of the worldwide fellowship of Rotary Clubs that makes up Rotary International. Rotary clubs are firmly based within local communities, with their members meeting on a regular basis to enjoy friendship, networking, and to plan projects that will benefit the lives of others. We work to give something back to our communities - locally, nationally and globally. We always welcome enquiries from like minded people who want to find out more about us, about who we are and what we do.

❤️ Defibrillators in Hertford Town Centre

They’re easy to walk past without noticing…
But these small yellow boxes could one day help save a life.

Hertford has a number of public access defibrillators located at familiar places around our town centre — ready to be used by anyone if needed.

📍 Anytime Fitness Hertford
📍 BEAM
📍 East Herts District Council (Wallfields)
📍 Hartham Leisure Centre
📍 Hertford Corn Exchange
📍 Hertford North Station
📍 Hertford Castle
📍 Hertford Town FC
📍 Hudson’s Dental
📍 Isabel Hospice (Maidenhead Street)
📍 Marks & Spencer
📍 Hertford Methodist Church
📍 Nuffield Health
📍 Salisbury Arms
📍 Shepherds Estate Agents
📍 Tesco
📍 The Hertford Club
📍 The Woolpack

Good to know:
If someone collapses and isn’t breathing normally, call 999.

The operator can direct you to the nearest defibrillator and talk you through exactly what to do. The machines are designed for the public — you don’t need medical training.

Hertford is a town that looks out for each other… and these quiet little boxes scattered around the centre are a reminder of that ❤️

Do you know of any other defibrillator locations in or around town? Add them in the comments so we can help build awareness together 😃

Found this helpful? If so, drop a like and I’ll do a follow-up post covering Bengeo, Sele Farm and the wider Hertford area 👏❤️👍

A great meeting on Monday 12th when we were delighted to welcome 2 special guests - our old friend Neil Kirby from Brookmans Park Rotary Club as well as Rotary Global Scholar Yvonne Maduka.

Yvonne is pictured with Amwell Club President Andrew.

Studying for an Mph in Public Health at The University of Hertfordshire, Yvonne gave us an excellent talk on why she chose that path.

Global Scholars never fail to impress!

Rotary empowers.

Huge thanks to everyone who braved the cold to come along to our Carol Service at Haileybury last night. The Chapel was packed and it was lovely as well to see so many of you afterwards for the w**e and mince pies.

The Countdown to Christmas has now begun!

Only two weeks to go now! We're looking forward to seeing you all again.
