🥳 It’s the start of Volunteers’ Week and it’s time to celebrate all things
volunteering!

🙋‍♀️ Our volunteers include trustees, guardians of our lifesaving equipment, trainers, fundraisers and supporters.

👏 Our volunteers give so much to our charity, without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you to each and every one of you for all you do to keep Hertfordshire safe.

🙏 To all our fellow charity partners and friends, thank you for all you do in our communities.

🚑 We are Hertfordshire’s volunteer run and paramedic led lifesaving charity.

❤️ Why? Every Heart Matters

We are incredibly grateful to Pat Taylor Garden Services Limited for generously sponsoring the replacement of the AED battery and AED pads at KB Tyres in Puckeridge. Thanks to their support, the AED is now fully emergency ready, ensuring vital life-saving equipment is available and operational when it matters most!

This contribution not only helps protect lives but also strengthens the safety network within Puckeridge.

Thank you!

🌞Temperatures are set to soar today and even higher over the next few days so it’s important to stay safe and look after yourself in the heat 🥵

Here are a few quick tips to help you keep your cool:

💧 Stay hydrated – Keep sipping water throughout the day
🧴 Protect your skin – Don’t forget to apply (and reapply!) sunscreen
👕 Dress smart – Light, loose clothing and a hat can make all the difference
🏋️‍♀️Avoid extreme physical exertion
🌞 Keep out of the sun between 11am to 3pm, where possible
🏊‍♀️Never swim alone: Always swim with lifeguards or designated water watchers present
🥵 Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke too - it could save a life.

Enjoy the sunshine, but take care out there! 🍦😎

🚨 Bank Holiday reminder: Get the right care.

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, some services may run reduced hours. If you need urgent care, please choose the right service for your needs:

🟢 Self‑care and pharmacies: For minor illnesses and medication advice.
🟡 NHS 111: Available 24/7 for urgent health advice and help finding local services.
🔴 Only call 999 if it’s a life‑threatening emergency.

Using the right service helps keep emergency care available for those who need it most.
Thank you for helping protect vital services and make sure you get the right care, for your needs.
