Hertford District Guide units entered the British Legion Camp weekend Competition along with Hertford Scouts and Huston scouts .
A weekend of Backwood Skills and cooking in very wet and soggy conditions.
The girls pulled together worked as teams and Won 🏆 Well Done girls you survived a very soggy weekend .. but camp home with the Cup .. very proud district .
A massive Thank you to all the volunteers to have up their weekend to organise such a great weekend ( please let us know how to organise the weather 🤣)

It’s the end of Volunteer week! 🏅

And it wouldn’t be volunteers week without mentioning the amazing Clare Curley. She’s our district commissioner and works incredibly hard behind the scenes. Clare is not only the DC but is also the leader for several Brownie and Rainbow groups. She also ensures the smooth running of West Street Guide Hut. Her enthusiasm and energy constantly inspire leaders and girls alike. Without her, Hertford District would not be where it is today.❤️

It’s day 5 of volunteer week!🤩

Today we are learning about 2 different roles available within a unit🦊

Scarlett is one of our young leaders within 1st Birch Green Brownies and this role allows girls to develop into a leader once they turn 18. It is a great role to do alongside D of E and gives you something extra to put on your CV. Units really value having young leaders to get stuck in with the girls, run games and support running activities.🎨

Fionnuala is a unit helper. This role allows you to be more flexible but still help the girls in so many ways. Volunteering can work for everyone and this role really highlights that!🖌️

We are so thankful for both of you and all of the help you give the girls. Thank you💙
