After 8 years running sessions for children with additional needs and their families, All Aboard Club came to an end this July following the retirement of Richard, who has led the club throughout. We’re incredibly grateful to him, and to everyone who was part of the club, families, volunteers and supporters alike.

🚂 It's Volunteers Week, and we want to say a huge thank you to our volunteers.

All Aboard Club has always been a team effort. Over the years, our volunteers have helped set up some truly spectacular layouts, welcomed hundreds of families through the door, and made every session feel like a safe and special place to be.
We are so grateful to every single one of you.

As many of you know, our sessions are coming to an end this July. It feels right to mark Volunteers Week by celebrating everything our volunteers have helped us build over the years. We will be sharing some of our favourite layout photos this week as a reminder of just how much has been created.

🚂 Dear Families,

We want to give you some important news regarding our All Aboard Club play sessions.

We know that this will be disappointing for our families. But we wanted to thank you for being such a vital part of our play sessions and for all the memories we’ve shared.

⭐ FINAL SESSIONS
We will still run our scheduled play sessions in Sutton, Acton and Lewisham in May, June and July - you can book these sessions as usual on our website: https://allaboardclub.com/book/

⭐ LEWISHAM SESSIONS AFTER JULY
Another organisation will be running similar train-play sessions at the Lewisham venue from September. We’ll send details about these sessions to everyone soon.

🚂 At All Aboard Club, we've worked hard to make our sessions as welcoming, calm, and accessible as possible for neurodiverse children 💙

Some of the ways we support different needs and sensory preferences:

🚅 1.5-hour sessions so there's no pressure to arrive or leave at an exact time.

🔇 No background music or unnecessary sensory input.

🛤 A smaller, separate track area for children who need a quieter space

🧹 Tidy-up time at the end of each session to support a calm, predictable transition.

🎧 Ear defenders available for children sensitive to sound

We're proud to have built a space where every child can feel safe, supported, and excited to play 🚂💛
