Two accessible events this month at Richmond Place.

Sunday 15th and Saturday 21st.

Richmond Place is flat acess, has accessible toilets (near the front door), the smaller function room we use has dedicated toilets i.e. toilets only our guests will use.

There is extra space compared to the herdsman so we will have a bring and buy area. We will bring part of our shop (we can take requests)

We can bring one or two of the giant games too.

There is some free parking on site and the main cheap parking (Merton meadow) is just across the road.

Outside food is welcome (also keeping costs down)

There is a shared bar which does serve cheap hot drinks.

This is a venue we hire but is still free thanks to Herefordshire Community Foundation grant funding. For us keep costs down are a major accessibility factor.

Herefordshire Tabletop Events, only 3 days in February without events!

I've created a google calendar which lists all events as well as a website which contains more information. The colours are the main type of games being played.

Is this useful? Is this worth keeping up to date?

There may be gaps as I've done my best or the group / event doesn't have clear information. Also note these are not recommendations, every community will be different.

Why gaming is amazing. (Please add your thoughts too!)
It is accessible and inclusive (when done right)

Not many hobbies can equally support multiple generations, folks with different backgrounds, abilities, disabilities equally around one space.

It provides ways to develop and learn skills from maths, patience, turn taking, risk taking, loss, language and empathy... in a way that is seamless and fun.

It supports structured socialisation, no need for small talk.

It is inexpensive.

It so diverse from card games, wargames, board games, model making and painting, role playing games and event app based games.

It keeps the mind active and has been proven to have health benefits.

It puts money into the local economy (game nights in pubs, CICs and more.)

If you creative there loads of ways to modify and improve games.

Photos are of a range of games from two specially modified games to make them visually impaired friendly to 5 hour epics to 8 playee silliness there is a game for everyone.
