Today, Monday 15 June, was our Council meeting. We welcomed Jamie Brain as our guest speaker. Jamie works in the Rough Sleeper Outreach Team of Herefordshire Council. We have been working with Jamie helping people to move on with their lives. Our Crisis Intervention Fund can provide small grants for the purchase of small electrical items, typically - a kettle, a microwave or more recently, an airfryer, and a toaster. It's the little things that turn accommodation into a home!

Spring Council meeting Kimbolton Village Hall. Monday 15 June 2026. Guest speakers from the Outreach Team, Hereford Herefordshire Council. Our Crisis Intervention Fund has helped lots of people who have moved on in their lives with support from the Outreach Team. Bring and share lunch.

Ascension Day
Also Thy Kingdom Come

Between Ascension and Pentecost, there are ten days of waiting. The first disciples spent them together, praying, watching, holding on to the promise. This year we’re inviting you to do the same.

A Woven People is our devotional booklet for these holy days: a short reading and a prayer for each morning, drawing on the psalms and the story of those first disciples. Pray it on your own and you’ll keep good company. Pray it alongside the rest of us and we’ll find ourselves woven together, a people waiting on the Spirit.

We begin tomorrow, Ascension Day (14 May), and carry through to Pentecost on 24 May.

Today, our Diocesan President, Chaplain and VP joined Cusop members and friends when Janet Bumford was remembered. Janet was a well loved Trustee, Branch Leader of Cusop and organised other community gatherings.
Our Chaplain led prayers and unveiled a plaque in Janet's memory. Janet was a Gardener so it was fitting that a tree was planted in her honour.
