Seafish launches annual survey of UK fishing fleet
Seafish, the public body supporting the UK seafood industry, has launched its annual Fleet Survey for 2025. The survey sees a team of researchers visit harbours across the UK from 14 July to 19 September, where they speak to skippers and vessel owners to collect various pieces of data. Skippers and vessel owners are encouraged to take part in the 2025 survey.

This information is then used to develop crucial industry reports such as the Economics of the UK Fishing Fleet and Employment in the UK Fishing Fleet, which help inform policy and support the sector’s development.

The full survey schedule, including harbour visit dates, is available on the Seafish website: http://www.seafish.org/fleet-survey.
