It's day 2 of the Trinity Henley-Paris bike ride today and all that's in front of them is 190km to Paris!

This year is the first to include female riders, and when we were at Trinity yesterday, we spoke to Catherine and Lisa about the ride.

If you'd like to make a donation, to be split between us, Trinity and Gillotts, please visit https://www.friendsoftrinityschool.com/cycle-donations

We were at Trinity CE Primary School today to see off the Henley-Paris cyclists. They're raising money for us alongside Trinity and Gillotts School, and they've raised a huge amount already.

We spoke to some of the riders before they set off, asking them how they're feeling, what the challenges were, and why they're doing it.

340km in two days is a fantastic effort, and we'd like to wish Dave and his fellow riders all the very best!

Bonne chance!

A great day for you. A lasting difference for others.

Think about how you feel after a great day on the golf course.

You've spent hours outdoors in the fresh air. You've enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings, the warmth of the sun on your face, the camaraderie of friends and teammates, and the satisfaction that comes from being active and fully present in the moment.

You leave feeling refreshed, energised and connected. The stresses of everyday life seem a little lighter, your mood is lifted, and the memories of a great day stay with you long after you've left the 18th green.

At the Chiltern Centre, we see those same benefits every day through the activities we provide.

The people we support often experience stress, anxiety, loneliness or isolation. Through meaningful activities, social opportunities and shared experiences, they gain confidence, build friendships and enjoy moments that bring happiness, purpose and connection. Just like a great day on the golf course, the positive effects often last for days afterwards.

By taking part in our Golf Day, you're helping to make those moments possible.
Every entry, every sponsorship and every donation helps us create opportunities for people to feel connected, valued and included in their community.

So while you're enjoying a wonderful day of golf, you're also giving someone else the chance to experience the same feelings of wellbeing, friendship and joy.

That's what makes this more than just a golf day. It's a day that changes lives.

Our Marketing & Communications Manager, Paul, took on his own '26 in '26' challenge at the weekend, when he rode the 52-mile route of the 3 Counties Cycle Ride. 52 miles is 2 x 26 miles, hence the challenge!

Paul has completed several charity rides previously but admitted to having lost his "cycling mojo" over the last few years, and Sunday's ride was "mentally and physically one of the hardest things I’ve done."

We're very pleased your mojo has returned Paul, thank you so much for taking this on, and for raising money for the Centre.

Paul's fundraising page is still open, so if you'd like to donate, please visit https://www.justgiving.com/page/tallpaul-3counties

Have you signed up for a challenge yet? Find out more on our website.

"The toughest thing I’ve ever done..altitude, snow, ice, boulder fields, relentless ups and downs and lots of yaks to avoid…but ❤️ed it!"

Huge congratulations to our Head of Fundraising, Jane, who recently took on one of the biggest challenges out there, the Everest Base Camp Marathon.

Let's look at some of the numbers involved:

- 26.2 miles
- 4419 feet of elevation
- 11hrs 30mins moving
- 51,368 steps
- Minus 13 degrees

Epic, and inspirational.

Jane, we are SO proud of you.

Fancy a challenge of your own? We can't offer Base Camp, but we do have a trip to Kenya in September this year, taking on Mount Kenya, Africa's secon-highest peak.

Cheryl recently visited Henley Golf Club to meet their 2025 Captains Jeff Ellis and Janet Thompson, who raised an incredible £42,000 during their year of captaincy in support of two outstanding local charities, The Chiltern Centre and Bluebells Day Centre.

Cheryl said:

"It has been an absolute joy working with Janet, Jeff, Duncan (AGM) and James (GM) over the past year. From fancy dress and London Underground-themed golf to garden parties and celebration evenings, the whole Henley Golf Club community has wholeheartedly supported the Captains and, in turn, both charities.

The funds raised will help us plan and deliver the life-enhancing activities that mean so much to the young adults we support – from supermarket visits that build confidence and life skills, to hydrotherapy sessions that provide freedom and physical exercise, and adventures on the farm that create lasting memories.

Through conversations with Glen at Bluebells Day Centre, I came to realise that while our charities support different people and age groups, the impact of what we do is remarkably similar.

The families and young adults we support tell us that our activities reduce stress, anxiety and isolation, while improving mood, confidence and connection often with benefits that last for days. Bluebells sees that same positive transformation in the adults they support.

Two different charities, united by the same goal: improving lives and strengthening communities. It has been a privilege to play a small part in making a big difference for The Chiltern Centre and the wider charity community in Henley."

This fantastic total is a testament to the generosity of Henley Golf Club's members, guests, sponsors, and wider community.

Thank you all for helping to make such a positive impact.
