Bike needs looking at? Clothes and jewellery need mending? Broken china? Any problems with electrical or IT equipment? …Then bring them along to the Repair Cafe on Saturday morning at the Haven (BN5 9DT) and all our wonderful volunteers will do what they can to help.
Our friends from the Shed will also be on hand for anything wooden you would like made or repaired.
And not forgetting our team of sharpeners ready to sharpen your small kitchen or gardening items.
(Or you could just come for a cuppa and cake and sit in the shady Haven garden!!)
We look forward to seeing you between 10-12.

SOCIAL BIKE RIDES GO MONTHLY!Following the success of our first Social Bike Ride on Sun 12 July, we will be offering an outing on the 2nd SATURDAY of each month. Meet 10am at The Cabin for a gentle spin and coffee stop. Open to anyone on any bike for a sociable ride of about 10 miles through a mixture of quiet back lanes, sections of the Downs Link and bridleways. We look forward to meeting you and sharing the joys of rural cycling in good company. Next ride: Sat 8 August.

🌿 Lindfield Parish Council Launches Grass Verge Nature Pilot! 🌿

We’re excited to launch a new pilot project to explore how our village grass verges can better support local wildlife while keeping safety a top priority.
🐝 Why?
Nature and wildlife are in decline across the UK, and grass verges can provide valuable habitats for pollinators, insects and wildflowers.
🌱 What’s happening?
• Four verges across the village will be managed in different ways as part of the trial
• Work to plant wildflowers has already started in parts of Wilderness Field
• We’ll monitor the impact on nature and share regular updates with the community
📍 Look out for signs explaining each trial area.

Where is the time going?

All our lovely repairers will be at the Haven (BN5 9DT) this Saturday, 18th from 10-12. Bring your household and garden items that need mending or sharpening and we will do our best to get them working again.

On Sunday we did our 1st ‘fun/gentle bike ride’. Aim was to encourage reluctant cyclists to get back in the saddle with a bit of support. In the event we were 8 committed/keen bike riders!
We plan to advertise better and do this regularly. We will have all the necessary puncture repair stuff etc. gentle pace plus stop for coffee.
