Love music, singing or writing your own songs? Whether you’ve got lyrics with no tune, a melody with no words, or just loads of ideas waiting to come to life, this is your chance to get creative! 🎤🎸

Join Marc at The Basement for a fun 2-day songwriting workshop on 17–18 August (10am–3pm). You’ll learn how to write lyrics, create catchy melodies, build song structures and develop your own unique song, all while working with other young musicians in a supportive, creative environment.

Calling all actors, directors, camera operators and filmmakers aged 10–14! Join us for 3 days of making movies, from creating the story to filming, acting, directing and editing a collaborative short film made by you and your group through fun exercises and games.

Busk It! brings together performers from across Helston, including the incredible young musicians from The Basement’s Electric Rock Collective and Build a Band programs. 🎵

After weeks of learning, creating, rehearsing, and building confidence, they’ll be taking to the stage to share their music with the community alongside other talented local performers. 🌟

Come along to support the next generation of musicians, discover new local talent, and enjoy an afternoon of live music in a relaxed park setting. 🎶🌿

Build a Band isn't just about learning new songs—it's about becoming part of a band and experiencing the excitement of performing live.

Throughout the week, you'll rehearse as a team, develop your musical skills, and grow in confidence before taking to the stage at Busk It! in Coronation Park on Sunday 16th August.
