Free concert at the park! Make Music Day is a the word’s biggest DIY music festival! The free celebration of music takes place in 125 countries on 21st June every year.

Join Townshend Love To Sing Choir for an hour-long free concert on Events Square at Coronation Park starting at 2pm - no booking, just turn up with a chair!

This year, over 60% of our events at Coronation Park are completely free. We do this because we believe that everyone in Helston and on The Lizard deserves access to brilliant events - regardless of what’s in their pocket. The South Kerrier Alliance CIC is a not-for-profit organisation and we don’t receive any regular public funding. Every free event we put on is only possible because of the support of people like you. Skateboarding snails. Gymnastic gerbils. One very intelligent orang-utan. 🐘🐌🦧

Squashbox Theatre is back at Coronation Park this Saturday and this is just the beginning.

Curious Creatures drops you into a wildlife park run by the world’s least qualified zookeeper. Expect chaos, comedy, live music and some genuinely mind-blowing animal facts — the kind of show that has kids in stitches and adults quietly delighted too.

Last year 10 local groups built floating contraptions, paddled them across the Boating Lake and had an absolutely ridiculous amount of fun doing it.

Newell's Travel Helston won the £100 prize. And they're coming back to defend it.
There are only two spots left for someone to knock them off their (very soggy) throne.

You can be a Helston (or The Lizard) based sports club, business, school PTA, choir, or group of local nutters... whatever.

✅ Build space at the Old Cattle Market the week before
✅ Tools, equipment and volunteer makers provided
✅ Float storage at Coronation Park — no van needed
✅ £100 prize on the line

We’ll be meeting at the Community Garden for a volunteer session, join us and get stuck into a few seasonal tasks around the space.

- If you have gardening tools you like using, feel free to bring them along
