South Kerrier Alliance Community Interest Company (SKA CIC) is a social enterprise, formed by volunteers, to address the needs and aspirations of the people of South Kerrier, Helston and its surrounding parishes. We grew out of the Market and Coastal Town Initiative; a Regional Development Agency programme which funded the generation of community plans. The South Kerrier Alliance Community Plan is
the foundation of our work. It forms a vision for what the community would like in South Kerrier to be in the year 2026. It encompasses ambitions and achievable goals, now being worked on by our Delivery Groups. As a social enterprise we can apply for funding for projects and can also carry out income generating activities which can in turn help support community activities. SKA CIC aims to be sustainable in the long term but depends heavily on the involvement and commitment from members of the community.
