As Volunteers’ Week comes to an end, we’d like to thank our volunteers again for all they do! And to the public - thank you for supporting the work of the foodbank here at Mustard Seed in Helston.

Say Hello to our Friday Warehouse team! Each of them give a few hours a week, for 52 weeks of the year to keep the emergency food parcels packed and ready for our clients.

Our Foodbank has 42 volunteers. They give so much to our organisation, without them we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you to each and every one of you. 💖

Say Hello to Bob! Bob has been volunteering with us for 6 years. He started volunteering as he finished working and wanted to be of service to the local community. He likes making a difference and encourages those of you who are thinking of volunteering to do it! His words... "It gets you out, structures your week and gives you a real sense of community. What's not to like!"

We’re proud to be taking part in Volunteers’ Week 2026 – saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK for everything they do for society. Here at the Helston and Lizard Foodbank, our 42 wonderful volunteers who serve in a number of ways, including collecting donations, in our warehouse, driving, helping people who come in for food support.
