I am proud to share that the men's group Time to Talk in Helensburgh is now coming together with Mentor Scotland in partnership. The group continues to offer men from Helensburgh and the surrounding areas a safe, non-judgmental space to connect, share experiences, and support one another. 💙

⏰ 7.30pm – 9.30pm
📍 Helensburgh Community Hub

With the support of the National Lottery Community Fund, we’re making sure this vital group continues and grows as part of our wider community support.

This morning there are men and women that did not see the daylight due to death by su***de they should be remembered today as who they were and not in shame. The more we can normalise this conversation or subject the less we will hopefully lose.

If you see someone that is struggling or you have that gut instinct they do not be afraid to ask them directly and by directly I mean say ate think or or considering to die by su***de it may be the last chance to save someone.

Mentor Scotland is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator (freelance, 20h/week) to keep our groups running smoothly and our volunteers supported 💙

📌 Fee: £15,350.40 per year (inclusive of costs)
📌 Contract: 2-year freelance post
📌 Location: Hybrid – Ben View (Dumbarton), home-based admin & group delivery
📌 Hours: Evening work essential
📌 Qualification: HNC in Social Care (or equivalent) and/or proven management experience essential

The past two days I have attending su***de awareness training and gained my Applied Su***de Intervention Certificate. This training was challenging for people in the group and myself at times but extremely valuable and thankful I had the opportunity to attend.
