Please Share: Fancy a day out to promote the SWI? We’re looking for volunteers!

Throughout the year, SWI exhibits at a range of fantastic events, including Creative Crafts, East Neuk Knits, the Ideal Home Show and the Royal Highland Show. These events are a brilliant opportunity to showcase what SWI has to offer, share our love of crafts and meet new people!

We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us at our stands. As a thank you for your time, all volunteers receive free entry to the show! Volunteering roles and time commitments vary between events, so there are opportunities to suit different interests and availability.

Our next opportunity is Creative Crafts at the SEC Glasgow, 22–25 October! We’re looking for more volunteers to help us at the show, so if you fancy getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.

Please Share: Evelyn Baxter Craft Scholarship 2027 🧶

Are you a skilled needle felter with a passion for sharing your skills with others?

We’re delighted to announce that this year’s Evelyn Baxter Craft Scholarship will focus on Beginners’ Needle Felting!

We’re looking for up to two SWI members who would love the opportunity to develop their tutoring skills and help introduce other members to the wonderful world of needle felting.

As our successful scholar, you’ll receive full tutor training to prepare you to deliver two-day Beginners’ Needle Felting classes across Scotland in 2027.

If you’re an experienced needle felter and think this could be for you, we’d love to hear from you!
