It's a start! BIG BROTHER IS NOW WATCHING YOU. The brand new AI cameras on Hednesford station are now fully operational. They are state of the art with facial recognition capability so there should now be no excuse for picking up anti-social behaviour. They are set up to cover the whole of the platform area, steps and track trespass. This should go a long way to reducing the persistent ASB and criminal damage we regularly endure.

After the meeting yesterday with Josh Newbury MP, representatives from West Midlands Trains, Network Rail and Chase Line Rail Promotion Group, Heart of Hednesford CIC are also involved in preparing a multi-agency plan to combat wider ASB issues on the railway and in the town. Watch this space.

Serious disorder at Hednesford station this Sunday evening. Around 30 feral teenagers fighting and attacking the 19:22 train to Rugeley Trent Valley, apparently in a effort to get somebody off the train. Mob then waited for the train to return from Rugeley as they suspected that whoever they were after would be on it. Train crew refused to open the doors and departed leaving passengers, including two with disabilities, on the platform with an hour to wait before the next train. Reported to WMR, Staffs Police and BTP attended. I am hoping to meet with Josh Newbury MP, WMR and Network Rail Monday 17th, to discuss this continuing and escalating anti-social behaviour on the Chase Line and by gangs of local kids that is blighting our town.

Despite continuing anti-social behaviour trying to destroy all our volunteer's hard work producing these beautiful flower arrangements for our station, we are fighting back. All plants are either salvaged from attacks or our volunteers have got them from special offers in supermarkets, garden centres or online offers. Aren't they lovely . They work really hard to keep our station welcoming. Look out for more information coming soon .

📣 Reduced service on the Chase Line 21/07/26 and 22/07/26

🚂 1 train per hour will run between Birmingham New Street & Hednesford between 13:00 - 17:00

🚌 Rail replacement buses will replace services between Hednesford - Rugeley Trent Valley

150 years ago, Sir Nigel Gresley was born on June 19, 1876. One of the greatest engineers who ever lived and designer of probably the most beautiful locomotives . His namesake, iconic LNER Class A4 4-6-2 Pacific, 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' passed through Rugeley Trent Valley today on its way to Crewe from Doncaster where it was built in 1937.
