🎟️ Tombola Prize Donations Needed! 🎟️

HIP will be hosting a fundraising tombola at this year's Hednesford Summer Festival, and we are asking for your help.

We are looking for donations of tombola prizes of any size – chocolates, gifts, toiletries, vouchers and other suitable items would all be gratefully received.

The funds raised will support our ongoing heritage projects and help us bring new Christmas decoration features to Hednesford town centre this festive season.

If you would like to donate, please drop your items off at Hednesford Library and let a member of the library team know that they are for the HIP Tombola.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue investing in our town and community.

As we celebrate National Volunteers' Week, we want to recognise and thank the incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to make Hednesford such a wonderful place to live.

At HIP, we are proud to be volunteers ourselves and proud to work alongside so many fantastic volunteers, community groups and local organisations who care deeply about our town. Their dedication helps preserve our heritage, improve our shared spaces and strengthen the sense of community that makes Hednesford so special.

The heritage projects featured here are just a few examples of what can be achieved when people come together with pride in their community. These projects have been made possible through the commitment of volunteers who generously give their time to protect and celebrate Hednesford's rich history for future generations.

We are incredibly proud of our town, its heritage and, most importantly, the people who make it thrive. Thank you to every volunteer who helps keep Hednesford a vibrant, welcoming and inspiring place to call home.

Our team joined Hednesford community volunteers this morning to work together on another Hednesford heritage project; cleaning and repainting this 132 year old piece of Hednesford History, Supporting the Staffordshire Regimental Association with restoring this archway from
the original drill hall was a great honour.

Happy Staffordshire Day! 🎉

Celebrated every 1st of May, it’s a chance to recognise the County’s rich history; from its Anglo-Saxon roots in the Kingdom of Mercia to its world-famous pottery heritage and industrial legacy.

This year, we are especially proud to highlight our Heritage Lost Project work in Hednesford, where we restored a historic flagpole in partnership with Wetherspoons, bringing a small but meaningful piece of local history back to life.

Today, we are proud to see the restored flagpole at Anglesey Lodge in Hednesford Town Centre flying the flag of St George in celebration of St George’s Day.

Delivered in partnership with Wetherspoons as part of our Heritage Lost initiative, this project is a great example of preserving local heritage and celebrating community pride.
