3 POINTS ON THE ROAD.

Knaresborough Town AFC 1-3 Littletown FC

Goals: Thomas Ramsden, Charlie Howard, Oliver Bellwood.

MOM: Bellwood.

A must win game against a good young Knaresborough side sees all three points come back to Beck Lane this weekend.

Knaresborough started the brighter and controlled most of the possession with Littletown looking dangerous on the break. Jordan Ledgard in goal today due to injuries made a couple of saves but in the main wasn’t massively troubled.

5 minutes before half time good work from the forwards gave in form Tom Ramsden an opening, where he lashed the ball from the edge of the box against the bar, bouncing down for MOM Bellwood to nod in to the back of the net to break the deadlock. 0-1.

A great time to score.

The second half Littletown had to kick on, and again through some outstanding hold up play from Bellwood who was unplayable all day, the ball found Frank Tutt who slid in 17 year old Charlie Howard who finished calmly for his first goal for the club. 0-2.

A penalty with around 15 minutes to go gave Knaresborough hope, but with 5 minutes on the clock Adam Williams carried the ball through 5 Knaresborough players squaring it to Ramsden who got a deserved goal to see Littletown home. 1-3.

A solid performance despite injuries, bans & absentees which always seems to always be the case at the moment. We must build on the last couple of weeks and really kickstart our season.

Williams hits 5 goals to spark a hopeful revival!

After a really poor start to the season, with both results & performances being way below par - we’ve found ourselves facing a battle to work our way up the table.

Yesterday we made it two wins in succession with a fantastic 6-0 win at Beck Lane against Robin Hood Athletic.

Adam Williams hit 5 goals, with his third a 30 yard first time screamer into the top corner. Thomas Ramsden opened the scoring and was on top form.

The lads will be doing all they can to take this performance into the next week.

Beck Lane Double Header.

The First Team won comfortably against Dewsbury Moor with all 3 goals coming in the second half. The lads know improvement in front of goal is needed. Rob Mall was MOM for Littletown with some well worked goals coming from Ollie, Joe & Charlie.

Next up for the Firsts is the Heavy Woollen Memorial Cup Final, which will be played at Liversedge on Thursday 6th August, more info to follow.

The Seconds drew 1-1 with Priestleys FC. Manager Ryan Rylah saw his young side produce a really competitive performance despite several changes. A number of debutants impressed, and Man Of The Match went to Alfie Rayne for a tireless performance in the middle of the park.

The season is fast approaching, and we can’t wait!
