1st Heanor Scout Group

What a fantastic summer term we're having! The rain hasn't stopped 1st Heanor getting out and about and making the most of the light evenings.

Our scouts have been practicing their map reading in Shipley park as well as enjoying a fun filled camp with the cubs.

The squirrels have been helping keep Heanor clean with a litter pick and both the squirrels and beavers visited Shipley Community Garden to learn all about the plants they grow.

It's been a busy few weeks at cubs and scouts.

The cubs have built some planters to plant up with flowers in the spring.

The scouts have been learning new games with the older Scouts helping to run them as part of their leadership badge.

We were proud to be part of the 2025 Remembrance Parade with our group, but there was one thing missing—a squirrels flag! 1st Heanor Squirrels and Beavers had an exciting start to the term.

The Beavers had a trip to the fire station and the Squirrels tried yoga and knot tying.
