Saplings runs on Friday mornings from 9.30am - 11.00am upstairs in the Woodside in Bolnore village Tea/coffee/snacks provided! Sessions are £3 each per family.

Saplings - a local baby and toddler group located in the Woodside centre (upstairs meeting rooms). Come along for play and a chat in an informal and friendly environment. All Mums, Dads and Grandparents welcome to attend with their children. Sessions are held on Friday mornings 9.30 - 11.00 am during term time. We are all volunteers so please do help out, make suggestions, offer to put the toys out/tidy up to make this the best group we can. We can't do this without you!

We're sadly going to call it a day for Saplings. We're missing enough regular volunteers to run it as a group/with their own children and the numbers attending don't really cover the cost. Growing the group is also tough with the space we're working in! I'm really sorry as I hugely benefitted from the group when my children were little and met some lovely people running it, but it doesn't seem feasible going forward. We can hopefully leave the toys in storage for a bit in case anyone wants to start it up again, but otherwise we'll sell what we can for fundraising and money will be donated to local charity. Wishing everyone all the best ❤️ xx

Hi all, we've been chatting and Sam and I cannot continue to help anymore with the group. We've done a year volunteering without our own children actually attending, but we now need to step back. This means that unless someone else can step forward to help Grace (or a few people sharing the role between them) next week will be the last Saplings 😥.

This is really sad for us, it's where we met and our boys became best friends, where I brought my eldest as a baby when I first moved to bolnore, and we feel a really welcoming, lovely group for the community. However it is not feasible for Grace to run it single handed with her daughter in tow.

If you can volunteer Friday mornings, around 9-11/11.30 term time, particularly if you have your own little one who could come and play, please do let us know, or if you have any questions at all. Here's hoping! 🤞xx

Lovely to see some old and new faces this morning! Just to say again that as the lovely Grace is taking over running Saplings it would be really great if we could have another person to help her. It's term time Friday, 9-11.15ish, and honestly not too much work, particularly if you're bringing your own little one, but I know from experience it's so much easier with another pair of hands! If you can help out at all or have questions then please let us know. It would be lovely to know our little bolnore community group can keep running for years to come 😊
