📢 FAQ!
What's in an average food bank food parcel?
Whilst food packs vary, they always contain the essentials required to make three days' worth of nutritionally balanced meals.
These are emergency parcels, not intended for long-term need, and might include: pasta, rice, pasta sauce, curry sauce, cereal, porridge, soup, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, tinned fish, oil, sugar, UHT milk, squash, tea and coffee, snacks, biscuits, bread and eggs.
Where they can, food banks also offer fresh fruit and veg and toiletries as well as baby formula and nappies, if required, and cater for specific dietary needs.
Importantly, food banks also signpost services such as debt advice and other organisations that can help users with other concerns and challenges.
There are families in your community suffering from food poverty.
Download the BanktheFood app and help your local food bank get them exactly what they need.
Together we can make a difference.
