This page is dedicated to preventing the building of 300 houses on BMV (Best And Most Valuable) farmland on Hayling Island. Havant needs more affordable urban homes for young people near schools, work, transport and facilities, NOT unaffordable houses built on productive fields, wildlife habitat or flood plains where infrastructure can’t cope.

We’ve survived the Rook Farm Planning Inquiry, and all the cross-examinations!

We knew Barratt Homes would outgun us - their legal team was twice as big and at least 4 times as expensive! But we held our own. We won’t know the result for several weeks.

But we’re still £2,000 short of paying our legal bills - can you help close the gap? It’s only the generosity of over 750 Hayling Islanders that has kept us going this far!

IT'S OVER...

Your Rule 6 team have done their best and our legal team were brilliant.

Now we have to wait for the Inspectors’ decision and no, we don’t know when that will be so please don’t ask.

As soon as we know, you will know.

It’s been a frantic three months and everyone on the Rule 6 team has worked tirelessly to build a solid case for stopping over-development of our Island.

We’re now all taking a step back and in our case, going back to our day job !

Rook Farm Inquiry week 1 done. Barratt Homes has thrown everything at us, and landed nothing. And we're still in the game!

Thank you to the 714 amazing people who've donated, but we don't yet have enough to pay our legal team and planning consultant. Unlike Barratt Homes who stand to make £30m out of Rook Farm. Please help!
