APPEAL : Are there any wonderful sewers out there that would be able to make me 2or 3 pad packs ( all the pieces will be cut out and just need sewing together) by the begining of October ?
On Saturday the 3rd of October , I am going to be giving a short talk, alongside other members of my team, about my recent trip to Rwanda at a women's conference in Folkestone https://harbourchurch.churchsuite.com/events/u7ip5f4w
This is to promote future trips and the work that www.amoreurope.org and www.azizilife.com are doing to help end menstrual poverty in Rwanda . It would be wonderful if on our Rwanda stand we could have some pad packs available as a demonstartion and encoourage more people to come along to the various pad parties that are going to be set up in Folkestone and Hawkinge. We welcome both members and non-members of Hawkinge Evening WI-HEWI to join us for our final PAD party on Wednesday 6th May 2026 .The aim of this group is to put an end to period poverty by creating safe, hygenic menstrual products to send out to women in Rwanda .
There will be jobs for everyone , so don't be put off if you can't sew or use a sewing machine.
