Another fabulous Wilton lodge park parkrun. The first person through set the women's course record and it was their first time ever at any parkrun! Here is a video of the lovely cheer for the volunteers. The marshals normally miss how much they are appreciated

Thanks for the super response to our volunteer appeal earlier this week.
We've got all of the critical positions filled and even a few bonus volunteers for this weekend's event.
It's going to be event number nine for Wilton Lodge Park and somewhere in the world it will be event number one million for parkrun!
We'd love to see you at our event whether completing the five kilometre course, volunteering, or simply spectating!
Roll on the weekend!

Good Evening folks,
Hawick Common Riding was brilliant and we're so looking forward to getting back to business as usual.

We've got most of the critical positions filled for this coming Saturday, all we need are a couple of people to help hand out finish tokens.
It's a super simple role but one that's integral to our event running smoothly so if you're able to lend a hand please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] and include you're parkrun ID!

Check out our future roster by following the link below and get your name down to help out in the coming weeks if your free and keen!

Also, as always, if you want to come down and see how volunteering works in person, you're very welcome to come down and speak to us on the day! We'll be outside Hawick Museum from 08:30 ahead of the 09:30 start.

See you at the weekend!

There will be no Wilton Lodge Park parkrun on Saturday 6th June.

We encourage any keen parkrunners to visit one of our neighbouring events, Hay Lodge parkrun in Peebles or Wallaceneuk parkrun, Kelso as a participant or volunteer.

We hope Common Riding Saturday is a huge success for everyone involved and look forward to seeing you all in Wilton Lodge Park from June 13th onwards.

If you fancy helping out, please get in touch via email!

Please note that Wilton Lodge Park parkrun is cancelled this Saturday, 6th June, but we'll be back the following weekend, 13th June!

parkrun UK are highlighting the kind-hearted folks who give up their Saturday mornings to help put on parkruns all over the country and world.

It takes all sorts to put on an event, and each role gives you a different perspective on parkrun. From the timekeepers to the scanners and from the marshals to the tailwalker they are who make parkrun possible.

If you're interested in helping out with Wilton Lodge Park parkrun a little later into June or in the future, have a look at our future roster
https://www.parkrun.org.uk/wiltonlodgepark/futureroster/
and send us an email including your parkrun ID number, your name, the date you'd like to help out and the role you'd like to fill.

There is a photo briefly explaining each of the critical roles and a few bonus ones too. If you're keen but looking for a little more info, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to chat things through with you or by all means, simply rock up one Saturday to see how things work!

It's not restricted to the pink hi-vis positions either. If you want to dive a little deeper and don the blue run director's vest please get in touch so we can have a chat about what that entails.

parkrun doesn't work without our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has helped out over these first two months and to everyone who will help out in the future.

Please remember that Wilton Lodge Park parkrun is cancelled on June 6th and will return weekly from June 13th.

02/06/2026

Please note that there will be no Wilton Lodge Park parkrun on June 6th as the venue is unavailable.

This week parkrun UK are celebrating all the volunteers who give up their time to help facilitate parkruns all over the country and around the world every Saturday!

We welcome anyone who wants to give volunteering a go to get in touch and get ready to put on the pink hi-vis! None of the roles are complicated and if you're nervous you can always come down and observe one of our experienced volunteers to see how it's done!

Volunteering is a brilliant way to support our event and help strengthen our community. Volunteering helps keep parkrun free, for everyone, forever.

So please get in touch if you fancy helping Wilton Lodge Park parkrun continue to grow and make an impact on everyone who participates, walkers, joggers, runners, volunteers, and spectators alike!

Look out for our post tomorrow explaining the various volunteer positions that we need each week.
