If something doesn’t feel right in your relationship, you don’t have to wait for an emergency.

💜 Know where to turn

Worried about someone’s relationship? Or your own? The Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DSDAS) allows you to ask Police Scotland if a partner has a history of abusive behaviour.

The scheme allows you to make a confidential request if you’re concerned about your partner or about the partner of someone you know.

If Police Scotland holds information showing that someone may be at risk of domestic abuse, they can consider sharing relevant information to help keep the person safe.

Waverley Housing supported Hawick High School as they held their Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning.

It was great to meet with so many Tenants, Pupils & neighbours.

John Lamont MP stopped at out stall to find out about the various ways we are supporting our Tenants & their families.

The event was a great success raising over £900 for the charity, and provided practical experience for the schools Senior Home Economics Students.

This October, Borders Housing Network (BHN) is standing together to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing important posts that will highlight different forms of abuse, provide information on vital support services and share advice on how to protect yourself.

Domestic Abuse can happen to anyone but together, we can break the silence and support those affected. 💪

Waverley Housing took part in the Earlston HS Careers Fair last week, sharing a stall with our friends from SBHA HomeChoice

This was a great opportunity to meet with young people and let them find out more about the huge variety of careers in the housing sector.
