Amazing news for Rosie and everyone involved with Hawick Boxing Club. Rosie Swailes has been named in a 4 strong team to represent Scotland to contest the World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok Thailand in March.

The World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 is an U19 tournament and forms part of the performance pathway toward the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026. Participation at the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 is a requirement for any athlete who wishes to be considered for selection to the Youth Olympic Games. 💙💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hawick, along with Galasheils, is taking part in a project with Edinburgh University, looking at how Artificial Intelligence could be used to help town Place Plans be developed using data collected from many aspects of the town. This is a workshop, led by the university, to help us understand how this might work.

Members of the Trust had a long and positive meeting this morning with Andy and Stuart to see where they were and where they wanted to be.

They are desparately needing to find temporary premises in the next 5-6 weeks, which we are trying to help them with.

We hope that we can also help them go forward in the medium to long term and keep this iconic and successful club existing in Hawick.
