Dear Parents,

Tomorrow we have our annual Church dedication service.
It will be held in Hawick South Church, St George's Lane at 10.30am. It will conclude at 11.30am and there will be tea, coffee, and hot chocolate served after the service to which all the boys and parents are invited.

Boys should meet near to the foot bridge in the common Haugh no later than 10.15am. We will then walk over together. Family and friends are most welcome to join the service.

This is the One time in the year that we ask the Boys to attend church with the Boys Brigade and a good turnout would be appreciated.

Boys to wear their uniform.

Boys Brigade Galashiels (Help Needed)

After many years of serving local young people, the last remaining Boys’ Brigade company in Galashiels has sadly closed but as the Scottish Borders Battalion, we don’t want to leave it too long and risk losing the interest of boys and families in the area.
We’re keen to see Boys Brigade continue in Galashiels and are working to make that happen!

We’re looking for leaders and helpers who are passionate about supporting children and young people, helping them grow in confidence, skills, and faith.

Leaders and helpers need to have a Christian faith (of any denomination) and be willing to go through the PVG check and Boys’ Brigade & Church of Scotland safeguarding process.

We’re aiming to start the new company in the New Year, but we need to begin getting people registered and through the process now so that we’re ready to go with a full team in place, also looking at Monday nights to start with.

If you’re interested or even just curious to find out more please get in touch. Whether you’ve been involved in BB before or are completely new, we’d love to hear from you!

Junior Section:
Tonight we were Getting Active and Getting in to the Bible for our Badge work tonight. The Boys had a great time building Edible Campfires, Learning about different animal footprints and playing Pair the Fire camp. Our Minister Mr Cook came along tonight and did a bible class with the Anchor and Junior Section and Company section. And finished off with a game of Dodgeball.
