Some of our members met at the coffee lounge at St Thomas’ Church, Ellesmere Port this morning to hold a brain storming session coming up with projects and ideas for the future. We did a SWOT - analysis organised by Rotarian Kate.

What an exciting day it was for the Rotakids at Ewloe Green county Primary School!

Jayne, the Creative Director of Arts for Health and Well being CIC welcomed everyone and explained the first activity. The group are helping create a special piece of artwork that will be displayed permanently on the shelters at Hawarden Railway Station working with Rotary and Transport for Wales.
Kate and Gordon along with Mr Dixon, the Rotakids leader enjoyed the smiles, laughter and plenty of creativity. We can’t wait for the next creative session to take place. More details & photographs will appear on our Rotary website.

What an exciting day it was for the RotaKids at Ewloe Green Primary School!

Our first art session had officially begun, as we are helping to create a special piece of artwork that will be displayed permanently on the shelters at Hawarden Station.

As soon as the RotaKids walked into the room, they could feel something exciting was about to happen. The tables were all set up with paints and paper, ready for everyone to get creative. But what were we going to make?

Jayne, the Creative Director of Arts for Health and Wellbeing, welcomed everyone and explained our first activity. Working in teams of three, the children used bright acrylic paints to create colourful circles on large sheets of paper. Every time they heard a different sound from the musical instruments played by Gordon and Kate from Hawarden Dee Valley Rotary, and Mr Dixon, our RotaKids leader, it was time to change to a new colour!

The room quickly filled with excitement as everyone painted swirling circles in lots of bright colours. There were smiles, laughter and plenty of creative ideas. Next, each group turned their paper around and drew around their hands. What will these handprints become? That's a surprise—we'll have to wait until the next session to find out!

Throughout the activity, every RotaKid worked with enthusiasm, imagination and teamwork. The artwork looked fantastic, and everyone had great fun creating it together.

We can't wait for our next creative session and to see how our amazing artwork will come together for everyone to enjoy at Hawarden Station! Kate :)
