Once the fog eased off, the island was looking glorious in the sun last night.

There was an adult Stonechat calling to a fledgling as this photo was taken - just one of many fledglings on the island at the moment.

There's still a few places left on Skomer Folk 2026, 16th-19th August!

After another successful year, Skomer Folk is back again in 2026 - join incredible folk duo for 3 days of music making on Skomer Island.

Open to instrumentalists of any ability, workshops will include composition, playing in a small group and Welsh tune learning, with sessions/ceilidhs each night at the Farm to round off the day - all set in the spectacular landscape of the island.

North Haven at 6am was looking and sounding beautiful on a breeding bird survey this morning - before it got so hot!

If you're visiting us in the next few days, make sure you've got plenty of water, suncream and appropriate clothing with you.
