Last week at lighthouse young people made pizza wraps & played pool

Lighthouse Youth Hub Times are:

Tuesday 4:30pm-6:30pm (school years 6-8) - located at the hub

Wednesday 5:30pm-7:30pm (School years 9-11)- located at the hub

Thursday 5:39pm-7:30pm (college/ 6 form age)- located at the hub

Youth skills 💙

This week at your goal football the young people enjoyed learning new skills by playing small sided games. Staff encouraged all young people to work together no matter age or ability.

Youth 1:1 mentoring 💙

Last week our youth support workers took advantage of the bright sunshine, they encourage their young people to step out the house and appreciate nature.

One young person enjoyed getting a hot chocolate, going to the beach and throwing pebbles into the sea. This opened a conversations around the ripple effect and the impact being unkind.

With another taking a stroll around Emsworth lake, this young person finds loud noises challenging, being next to water calmed there anxiety and allowed this young person to have 1 hour of calm outside there comfort zone.

We're pleased to share that the Best Start Family Hub opens in Leigh Park tomorrow!

Based at Leigh Park Library, the hub offers free, trusted information and support for families. From pregnancy to starting school, advisers will be available to guide parents on health, wellbeing, childcare and education, with activities on the day for young people to enjoy.

We’re proud to support new initiatives that strengthen families and improve access to early help across our community 💙

This week our local police paid a visit to our choices programme to talk about staying safe online. The young people enjoyed having them here and even got the opportunity to try on their uniform.
