Exciting News! 😀

On the 4th of November there will be a stoma support group starting in Lincoln being held by a representative from
This is the second me+ lifestyle patient support group! The group aims to provide a supportive, safe, and relaxed environment to enable people living with a stoma to share experiences and knowledge, promote positive lifestyle changes, and improve overall wellbeing

As a group this isn't held by ourselves so we won't be there however one of our lovely social media ambassadors who has a stoma will be so if any of you in the community with a stoma would like to attend, just pop Emma a message and she will write your name down 💜

A survey we recently conducted shows people have anxiety about toilets and accessing them. Businesses can play a crucial role in easing this anxiety and supporting both customers and staff.

Here are some simple ideas to make a big difference:
✅ Provide clear, **accessible toilet signage**.
✅ Allow customers to use staff bathrooms when shown a Can’t Wait Card and if feasible.
✅ **Display posters** in cubicles to raise awareness of Crohn’s and Colitis.
✅ Ensure bins are available in **both** women’s and men’s toilets.
✅ Train staff to assist if someone shows a **Can’t Wait Card**.

Small changes can have a huge impact. Let’s create spaces that everyone feels comfortable using.
