The second day of the burial rites of the late Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa, unfolded at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

Like the first day, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, sat in state at noon to receive guests who sympathised with the Asante Kingdom.

Among the dignitaries were the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Buah and MP for Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum.

Meanwhile, delegations from state agencies included the Ghana National Prisons Service, National Intelligence Bureau, National Signals Bureau, COCOBOD and Ghana Shippers Authority.

Those from financial institutions included Consolidated Bank of Ghana, Access Bank, Sinapi Aba, Stanbic Bank, Zenith Bank, OmniBSIC Bank, National Investment Bank, CalBank, Ecobank, Enterprise Insurance and AMG West Africa Limited.

There were also delegations from TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School and St Louis Senior High School.

The four-day burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa, commenced on Monday, September 15, 2025, with hundreds trooping into the Manhyia Palace to pay last respects to the late Queen.

As part of the event, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, together with Nananom sat in state to receive sympathies from guests.

Among them were Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Businessman Dr Kwaku Oteng, Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Emmanuel Teye Cudjo, and KMA Mayor Mr Richard Ofori Agyeman.

There were also delegations from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Freemasonry, SIC Insurance Plc, Knights and Ladies of Marshall, Total Energies, Volta River Authority, the Ghana Education Service (GES) and many others.
