Set in the peaceful, rural surroundings of Woolley at Pilgrims Barn near Haughley, our next Carbon Charter networking event promises an afternoon of great conversations, fresh ideas and sustainability in action. 🤓

Join us in Suffolk on Thursday 30th July, to meet like-minded businesses and organisations passionate about low-carbon innovation and collaborative action across the region. It's a great opportunity to share ideas, make new connections and hear more about the work happening across the Carbon Charter community.

Guests will also have the chance to explore Pilgrims Barn itself – an inspiring example of sustainable, energy-efficient design operating almost entirely off-grid.

Free tickets are now live and available on a first come, first served basis 👉 https://bit.ly/4v8f0O6

It's 23 - 31 May and we want to celebrate all things fruit and veg by sharing this fantastic video from the Whitmill family showing us what they grew when they took part in our programme. The aim of this week is to inspire children's curiosity and to celebrate the fun that gardens hold for children, and we can help with that! We have a great website FULL of gardening tips for beginners, activities for children and recipes that can help you get started!

We love long lawns! 🌼 This , some of the Groundwork East team are letting their gardens grow a little wilder, and nature is already thanking us for it. Here are a few reasons why leaving the mower in the shed this spring can make a real difference…

Long Lawns
🦋Feed bees & butterflies
Wildflowers like clover and dandelions provide vital food for pollinators in spring.
🦔You’ll discover more wildlife
Leaving grass to grow can reveal surprising species of flowers, insects and plants already hiding in your lawn.
🌼Creates beautiful natural spaces
Longer grass and wildflowers bring colour, texture and movement to gardens and green spaces.
🐞Boosts biodiversity
Longer grass creates space for insects, birds and other wildlife to thrive.
☀️Helps lawns survive heatwaves
Long grass keeps moisture in the soil and reduces drying out.
🌍Cuts emissions & noise
Mowing less means less fuel use, less pollution and quieter green spaces.
🌳Better community spaces
Programmes like 's create vital stepping stones of nature-frindly spaces across neighbourhoods
