The branch preserves the heritage of Hatfield as the birthplace of the commercial jetliner. The branch organises lectures covering various topics in aviation - both historical and modern. The branch also has strong links to the University (formerly Hatfield Polytechnic) supporting awards to students and organising a yearly student lecture competition. The branch meets in the evenings on the third

Wednesday of each month between September and May. The Lecture venue is the Lindop Building, University of Hertfordshire, College Lane, Hatfield, AL10 9AB. Limited parking is usually available. All are welcome to attend!
