Join us on 9 November 23 and hear about you can begin your studies to take a nature-centred approach in a changing World: The MSc in Outdoor Environmental Education recognizes the evolving need to connect with nature due to the climate emergency and global pandemic. As the importance of outdoor education grows, our course is designed to empower students to transform educational practices across multiple sectors. We focus on sustainable education, teaching to mitigate biodiversity loss, and the climate crisis while also emphasizing the need for greater equality of access to environmental education. Absolutely amazing news, that our graduate Louise Smith, has one a award for her amazing nature connected social enterprise, ComeOutside. Come Outside! is a nature-based support group that provides a safe, judgement-free space for those with bigger bodies, limited fitness, and social anxieties. Together we rebuild self-confidence, find companionship, and take the first steps to becoming more physically active. Through connecting with the natural world, we find our own ways to enjoy moving more while nurturing compassion for our planet and inspiring pro-environmental behaviours.

Creating a learning environment is an embodiment of the pedagogue’s values and how they put them into action in both subtle and confronting ways. It appears our programme leader has become one of the faces of . When interviewed about this new found fame he said, “at least they caught my good side. “The tuition that gave at the training when this shot was taken was, and always is, second to none. He’s a great educator and trainer. We are lucky to have him at the university and he inspires so many of us to climb. “As continues to grow, we look forward to spending time on the wall and being challenged to think through our bodies.
