160 women and girls from Mosul just turned their plans into action.

Following the completion of business management training through our Strong Minds and Healing Hearts (SMHH) project funded by CARE Iraq , each participant received in-kind support tailored to her own approved business plan, giving her the tools to start or grow her income-generating activity.

Behind every one of those plans is months of learning, hard thinking, and real ambition. We’re proud to have been part of that journey and even prouder to see what comes next.

Meet Nadifa, one of our very first staff members, who started with us from day one ten years ago as our Yoga and Boxing Trainer, and now our Skating Trainer.

After hearing from 10 powerful women about their belief in changing the world, we asked Nadifa the same question: Do you believe if you change the life of a woman or a girl, you’d eventually change the world?

Her answer speaks to everything we do.

“Yes, I believe that if we change the story of a woman or a girl through boxing classes, she will be able to change the lives of others, and she will have more self-confidence and attend more classes here. We have changed the lives of many. We are hopeful that we will continue to do so in the future.”

Building resilience together 🌿 In Mosul, 28 students gathered to learn that mental well-being and teamwork are the foundation of strength. 💪 With the Deputy Head of Education of Mosul present, we discussed bullying and self-confidence, then planted flowers side by side—symbols of collaboration and new growth. 🌸 This is one session of our SMHH project funded by CARE IRAQ, reaching 170 female students across 7 schools. Together, we're creating a stronger, more resilient community ✨

في الموصل، اجتمعت 28 طالبة لتتعلم أن الصحة النفسية والعمل الجماعي هما أساس القوة. 💪 بحضور معاون مدير التربية في الموصل، تحدثنا عن التنمر والثقة بالنفس، ثم زرعنا الورود جنباً إلى جنب—رموز للتعاون والحياة الجديدة. 🌸 هذه جلسة من مشروعنا SMHH الممول من قبل CARE IRAQ، والذي وصل إلى 170 طالبة عبر 7 مدارس.
