Designed by our experts. Grounded in lived experience. Delivered with care. Our group is:

- free and accessible
- led by specialist HG counsellors
- A six-week structured programme
- Designed to talk through common themes of shame, isolation, grief and loss.

🗣️ Help Shape Future Maternity Training

Upskill Health, working in partnership with NHS England, is looking for women and birthing people to help develop on-the-job training for maternity staff.

Your lived experience will help shape the case studies used to train frontline maternity staff, ensuring future training reflects what really matters to families.

They're looking to hear from people with experience of:
💜 Maternity Triage
💜 Blood clots during pregnancy or after birth
💜 Medical emergencies during pregnancy or after birth (such as sepsis or diabetes emergencies)
💜 Emergency care involving the ambulance service
💜 Epilepsy during pregnancy or after birth
💜 Mental health challenges during pregnancy or after birth
💜 Major bleeding during pregnancy or after birth

🗓️ What's involved?
One 90-minute online discussion via Microsoft Teams.
Taking place during the week commencing 24 August.
£37.50 Amazon voucher as a thank you for your time.

You can choose what you would like to share, and there is no expectation to talk about anything you don't feel comfortable discussing.

Grumpy Men’s Club @ The Grumpy Cook

We’re back, and this time there’s Bolognese on the menu. Best of all, the food is free.

It’s a really simple evening. Nothing formal, no speeches, no pressure and no need to sit around talking about anything you don’t want to.

Just a few hours to get out, have some decent food and have a chat.

Open to men aged 18+.

Never been before? Come along. You don’t need to know anyone and you won’t be expected to walk through the door and suddenly become Mr Sociable.

Just turn up, grab some food and see how you get on.

Our courses are run by LLL Collective breastfeeding counsellors and will help you get off to a good start for breastfeeding or chestfeeding your newborn. You'll also get access to a community with others like yourself!

We are meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, for the last time before September.

Come along meet other mums, get your questions answered and leave feeling armed with the knowledge, calmed and ready to face the next week of breastfeeding your little one.

This week we will have the lovely Stevie joining us from East Sussex Maternity & Neonatal Voices who do a fantastic job of collating feedback and then helping to make changes to improve the experience of having a baby in East Sussex.
