Save the date: our Autumn Fair is coming!
Saturday 10th October 2026, 10-12:30 Mary’s Star of the Sea Hall on the Bourne ( next to the Stables Theatre TN34 3BD)

Plenty to buy and bargains to be had: crafts, jams and preserves, gifts, jewellery, children’s toys, puzzles. Try you luck on our Tombola and Raffle or just join us for refreshments ( we do like our cuppa and cakes ☕️🍰😋) Spread the word! See you there 😁

We had a lovely walk today around Hastings Country Park. We stopped at Shearbarn for much needed refreshments. ☕️

Yesterday was a lovely day for our Evening Social- a picnic in Alexandra Park. The weather was beautiful. A great opportunity to relax and enjoy the British Summer 😎

With the hot summer weather continuing, we're changing our opening hours to help keep our volunteers and visitors safe.

The greenhouse can become extremely warm once the sun is on the glass, so we'll now be open during the cooler part of the day.

10.30am–1.00pm

We had a lovely day visiting Merriments this week. Lots to see and inspirational for our gardeners. Of course we needed refreshments at the end 🫖☕️🍰. Thanks Debbie for organising and to Merriments for your support.

This coming Saturday.....

It’s the amazing 2026 Hastings Emergency Services Show on the 25th July at The Stade!

Both of our boats will be out on display, meet the crew and learn about the work of the RNLI.
Refreshments served in the boathouse

Come along and see all the displays, a great fun day out and an opportunity to learn about our different emergency services 😊

An event happening at White Rock Gardens this coming Saturday.

HOWI celebrated its 15th birthday on Tuesday. 🎉🎉🎈( We actually turned 15 in March but opted for a summer celebration- boy was it 🥵!)
Our founding members shared their experiences and challenges of setting up a WI and we reflected all the changes that have occurred over the years. We had cake courtesy of Westfield Bakes 🎂and looked through our archives thanks to our archivist Jen. The tables were decorated in WI colours and we had a splendid WI raffle.
Thank you everyone who made it such a special evening. 👏👏👏

Well didn’t we do well with our cherry picking at Cooks Yard Farm ( Rent a Cherry Tree) . Now what to make with all that yummy fruit…well it would be wrong not to have quality control🍒😋
…and yes we tried the cherry ice cream and yes the raspberry vinegar is lovely on a salad. Thank you for the recommendation Rent A Cherry Tree 👍🎉
