RX sword,
formed in Hastings Septemeber 2011,

Consists currently of 7 members;
Ad Lock, Talis Mcduffy, Alice Roberts, Isabel Roberts, Bryony Leech, Rosie Leech and Hettie Dengate. With the inspiration of watching rapper dancers at Towersey festival the group decided to form with no previous experience, with the help and expertese of Dave Lock who was once a memebr of a previous all male side in

Hastings, alongside Mad Jacks Morris. The rapper sword is a strip of spring steel, around one inch (2.5cm) wide and 18 to 28 inches (45-70cm) in length. There are handles at both ends of the sword, one usually fixed and one with a swivel-attachment, although early rappers had two fixed handles. Thank you everyone for such amazing support!!

I am sure you have all been wondering how we got on...

sad to say we were beaten by 1 point for best new comer :-(

However we had a brilliant weekend and are all very proud of how well we did, especially considering our nerves and lack of practice haha

We have been representing Hastings at DERT, Dance England Rapper Tournament. A lot of cheering!

and the first batch has left the sunshine coast, to go up and left a bit to Bristol..
