That's a community spirit πŸ’«

Our lovely volunteer Melanie has had her garden badly damaged by the recent Storm Darragh. The boundary wall collapsed destroying most of the plants.

She called out for help and we came and supported her with clearing and planting new shrubs.

Thank you Margaret, Anna, Gaby and Lizzie. πŸ’ͺ🏻

Another enjoyable session with the volunteers. This time we helped the Ridge Community Fire Station to prepare their garden for winter. We've cleared the paths, gathered leaves and planted more spring bulbs. There were lots of foxglove seedlings in the paths so we've replanted them into wildflower border.

Thank you Margaret, Anna, Gaby and John for volunteering. πŸ™πŸ»

We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from High Weald National Landscape to build a new community garden around the Men's Shed in Ore. Wildlife friendly and built using eco materials, it will provide a much needed, outdoor space for the
members of the shed but also the wider public to engage and enjoy! πŸͺ΄

We've been lucky to receive some peony bare roots from Fairlight Hall Gardens to plant outside the Men's shed in Ore.

The team there has recently been lifting and dividing the peony borders ready for replanting. They happily shared the divisions with us.

Thank you🌺

The new front border outside the Men's shed is looking particularly nice this summer. It's attracting lots of friendly pollinators and brings a pop of colour to the Ore Village. πŸŒΌπŸ¦‹πŸ
